My favourite part of my painting is the sky because even though it doesn't look identical to the original, it still has life to it. I do not like the top part of the dress because it does not at all look like the original. It jas too much contrast. I also could've done a better job on the grass and flowers. I didn't have enough yellow paint to finish.
I chose this photo specifically because I loved the detail in the dress, and loved the vibes it gave off. Almost like a "running free" feeling, which I loved. It reminded me of one of my favourite movies, the sound of music. I love how the bright and soft colours give life to the painting and give the painting a happy mood. I chose this part of the painting to challenge myself, as the dress has a lot of detail. And although it did not turn out as expected, I am happy with the effort I put into it. Painting is also not my strong suit, so at the end of the day, I am happy with how everything rolled into place.
