Making the hand was super fun. First, we put wet cloth on our hand and molded it to look like a sign language letter. My letter was "E" for "Eberschlag" (My last name).

After it dried, I started to paint my hand a purple ombre. I chose purple because I see purple as a peaceful, "take in the moment" colour. I wanted to keep my hand super simple, so I added a cross because the cross means a lot to me, and I also added the word "Thankful" because I am very thankful.

My original plan for my hand was to layer on quotes that mean something to me. I ended up not doing that idea, but just went with the flow. I am super happy with how my hand turned out, I love how simple my hand is, but I am most proud of the ombre. A struggle I dealt with was when I painted, a layer would get pulled back so I painted a few more layers over top and it looked fine. If I could do this again, I think I would add a design to the back of the hand
